The Candidates For The New Libyan Government Are Announced

Candidates for Presidential Council and Position of Prime Minister Are Announced by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya on Saturday
After the week-long deadline of receiving nominations for executive authority positions, UNSMIL posted on its website the list of candidates for the Presidential Council and the position of Prime Minister 

 In its statement, the mission expressed its deep appreciation of the efforts. Noting that all the candidates have assured to respect the roadmap agreed on by the forum regarding the preliminary period that paves the way for holding national elections in 2021

Concerning the applicants from the military or judicial authorities, the Vetting Committee noted that it is important that their nomination be dependable to the current Libyan laws and regulations

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya will hold a full meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Switzerland from 1 to 5 February to conduct the voting process on the new unified interim executive authority
There will be an interactive session between Libyans and candidates. The citizens’ questions will be presented directly to the candidates. It will be made available to the Libyan public, according to the text of UNSMIL the statement
