The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Al-Agory has received a call from the Ambassador of the Republic of Germany to Libya, Oliver Owcza.
During the contact, both of them have discussed the latest developments in the Libyan political arena, including developments in the current dialogue and the preparations for the elections that the Libyan people are expecting at the end of this year.
“Al-Agory” has welcomed the holding of the elections. He has provided that the appropriate climate for such a step is necessary, in particular about the security conditions that would allow the citizen to vote freely. Also, he stressed the importance of providing the constitutional basis for the electoral process.
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee has thanked Berlin for all its support for the Libyan people and the implementation of development programs.
On the other hand, the German Ambassador has pledged that his country would continue to support the Libyan people; until the instability ends and Libyans move towards prosperity.
