There must be security to the necessary conditions for municipal elections as well as the holding of national elections on 24 December 2021. It stressed and repeated its call on the union of the electoral authorities through the support of all stakeholders, institutions and actors, and the House of Representatives (HoR)
Moreover, the statement added that since 22 December 2020 council elections have been successfully controlled in the municipalities of many cities
The statement mentioned that the electronic registration system that has been built by the CCMCE since 2013 has empowered 130 credible council elections across Libya, including 34 elections in Western and Southern Libya since 2018
UNSMIL has stressed that these accomplishments should be preserved
