The President of the High Electoral Commission, Imad Alsayeh, said that the Commission would publish the lists of voters to allow for an appeal within 48 hours of publication, noting that they would now publish the forms of lists of recommendation required by the electoral laws to candidates.

He added during a press conference held today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Commission, that they are waiting for the Ministry of Health to form health committees that would allow medical candidates to run in the elections.
He added that during this week, the legal committee of the House of Representative will decide its decision the amendments to the electrocal laws, confirming that elections will be held on the basis of the laws passed by the House of Representatives.

Alsayeh said that those who question the two electoral laws must challenge them in front of the judiciary and that they don’t view the House of Representatives as a political party but rather the legislative branch of the country and were obliged to implement the laws sent to them.

He confirmed that the commission isn’t concerned with the procedures that precede its receipt of the election laws.
