Britain Assists Libya In Mines Elimination And Mercenaries Withdrawal

The British Ambassador to Libya, Nicholas Hopton renewed his country’s position in supporting the Libyan Road Map.
He also stressed the need to respect the Libyans’ demands and the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries from their country.
Hopton said in televised statements that London works to achieve stability to Libyans. Thus, they can hold general elections at the end of this year, and restore full sovereignty.
He added that the United Kingdom continues to support the Libyan people and the Government of National Unity in economic and security cooperation, especially in the area of clearing mines and remnants of war.
