COVID-19 Prevents Italian Gen. Consul Arriving Benghazi

The Italian Embassy to Libya announced that the arrival of Consul General Carlo Paturi in Benghazi had been postponed for a few days due to his infection with the Coronavirus.

According to the Italian Embassy in Tripoli on Twitter, “the work of reactivating the Italian Consulate General in Benghazi is almost done.”

The Embassy added that as a result of the Coronavirus test for Consul General Carlo Paturi before traveling to Benghazi which is expected to be tomorrow, 26 May, would be postponed for a few days.
