Italian Parliamentarian: We Provide Assistance To Help Libyans Accomplish The Elections

Piero Fassino, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Italian Chamber of Deputies, said that his country has contributed and provided assistance to Libya to hold the legislative and organizational elections as scheduled in December 2021.

The Italian news agency Nova quoted ‘’the Italian parliamentarian during a hearing session of the Italian special envoy to Libya, Ambassador Pasquale Ferrara, said that the experience started between the external committees in the two countries could extend to parliamentary committees in various fields of common interest.’’

He explained that Italy stresses its interest in Libya as a priority. Thus, it contributes to Irene’s mission and the dismantling of militias, and the exit of foreign forces.
