Kubis Praises Aqila Role in Libya

The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives ‘’Aqila Saleh’’ and The UN Special Envoy to Libya ‘’Jan Kubis’’ met in the Al-Qubah district of Libya yesterday.

Kubis praised Saleh’s latest endeavors for starting the parliament sessions to give confidence to the new government of National Unity.

UNSMIL stated that in a statement, Kubis acclaimed Saleh’s role in supporting the political peace path in Libya and in contributing to the accomplishment of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum.

In the end, UNSMIL pointed out that both sides highlighted the essentiality of holding national elections on the scheduled date of December 24, 2021.
