Libya Rejects Belgium Violation of Frozen Funds

After a short time after the installation of the new unified government of Libya and during the transitional period in the political agreement in the country, Belgium Government requests United Nations Security Council to allow seizing 49 Million Euros of Libya’s frozen funds

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Libya to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni considers this act as illegal on our sovereign wealth. He said ‘’We informed UNSC rejecting such ‘’violation. We advise Belgium to withdraw because it won’t succeed
