Norland Stresses On A Confidence Vote For GNU

The official page of Twitter to the US Embassy in Libya revealed the details of the contact between the US Ambassador to Libya and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agilah Saleh.

The page posted several tweets saying, ” Ambassador Norland spoke with House of Representatives Speaker Agilah Saleh Issa today to emphasize the importance that the House of Representatives convenes to give a vote of confidence on the new executive authority as soon as possible.’’

They added: “The HoR Speaker said he shared the view that the HoR should assume its responsibility in this regard noting that the government should respect the outcomes of the #LPDF and the Cairo Declaration.”

Also, they continued: “The United States recognizes that the vote of confidence of the HoR is an important step toward the holding of elections in December of this year.’’
