Saleh Examines With The German Amb. The Mechanisms For Achieving The Elections

Chancellor Aqeelah Saleh, Speaker of the House of Representatives, met on Saturday night with German Ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza in his office in Qubba city 

In a statement, the House of Representatives said that Chancellor Aqeelah Saleh, together with the German Ambassador, had conducted the political process in Libya. Also, he stressed during the meeting the need to organize presidential and parliamentary elections next December and the support of the House of Representatives for the High Electoral Commission.

Furthermore, he reiterated the election of the country’s next President should be direct to the people.

On the other hand, the German Ambassador to Libya described his meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives as friendly and constructive. He noted that he had discussed with Saleh the need for a timely agreement on the constitutional basis for the presidential and parliamentary elections next December.
