Sirte Hosts the First Meeting of GNU

The city of Sirte, Libya, today (Sunday) hosted the first meeting of the new Government of National Unity, which was selected by the Libyan Dialogue Political Forum in Geneva last month.

The meeting brought together the President of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba, and Mohamed El-Manfi, President of the new Presidential Council, accompanied by Council members Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Kuni.

In the meeting, they discussed the main challenges facing the new Government and the latest developments in its formation.
