The US Embassy Hails HoR Step Today

The US Embassy to Libya said the formation of the new government paves the way for the December elections.
The Government of National Unity headed by Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, today (Wednesday) gained confidence by voting through a lifting mechanism to approve the new Government.

A total of 132 members voted to give confidence to the Government of National Unity, headed by Abdul Hamid al-Dbaiba.

The US ambassador to Libya, Norland said: “Like many Libyans, we watched the Livestream of the historic HoR session in Sirte.  Congratulations on the formation of an interim unity government to set the stage for elections in December.”
