The Turkish Foreign Ministry revealed in a statement today, Tuesday, the details of the second round of political consultations between Turkey and Egypt, stressing that the session will be held in Ankara on September 7-8, 2021. The ministry said that the meeting will be held between the two delegations headed by the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Sedat Onal, and the Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Hamdi Loza.
They added that during the talks, bilateral relations and regional issues would be discussed. Cairo had earlier announced the suspension of communication with Ankara due to the latter’s failure to fulfill the Egyptian demands and conditions set by Cairo to resume relations between the two countries.
Before that, a Turkish diplomatic delegation visited Egypt and held a consultative session with the Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister. Thus, they agreed that coordination would be completed until relations return to their previous era between the two countries.
