UN Sec.Gen. ‘’In Libya There Is A Very Serious Humanitarian Situation’’

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, has expressed concerns about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in some areas of Libya, stressing that the situation is extremely serious. 

In a tweet via his official Twitter account, António Guterres stated: ” I am very concerned about the serious and deteriorating humanitarian situation in Libya.” 

Then, he added: ” An estimated 1.3 million people need assistance, an increase of 400,000 since last year.”

He explained: “I urge countries to support our Humanitarian Response Plan to assist the most vulnerable.”
