UNSC Is Meeting In Mid-July To Discuss The Libyan Crisis

The United Nations Security Council announced the holding of a special meeting on the Libyan crisis on 15 July to discuss developments in the situation and mechanisms to support the political process in a country devastated by war.

The ministerial-level meeting, chaired by the French Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, should begin with France assuming the presidency of the Council this month.

The members of the Security Council will focus on obstacles solutions to the Libyan political track. Also, they will call for sanctions against the obstructionists of the upcoming elections.
