The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, revealed today (Thursday) the number of European citizens who received the first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine.
She said that more than half of adult citizens in the European Union have received the first dose of the vaccine.
Today, on her official Twitter account, German von der Leyen added: “until today more than 50% of adult Europeans have received at least one dose (of the vaccine), and 100 million Europeans have been fully vaccinated.
The President of the European Commission noted that the Union, in conjunction with the vaccination campaign within its borders, had not stopped exporting vaccines to other States, adding that 700 million doses produced in the territory of the European Union had been exported 350 million doses to 90 countries.
