AAC NEWS FOLLOW-UP

Polish Health Minister Adam Nedzielski stated that his country had sold a million doses of Pfizer-Biontech anti-corona vaccine to Australia, as part of a responsible solidarity policy.

Nidzielski declared that Poland’s vaccine purchases allow us to meet the needs of our citizens and to support others in need.

It’s worth noting that the Polish Ambassador to Australia, Michael Kolodziej Ski said ‘’in these difficult times for our Australian friends, Poland has decided to share with Australia a million doses of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine, with immediate delivery.’’

The newspaper reported that Poland vaccinated about 55% of its population with full vaccination. However, the vaccinations rate has slowed sharply in recent months. Many vaccination centers have been closed due to low demand.

Polls indicate that up to a quarter of Poles are either opposed or reluctant to obtain the vaccination.
